About Me

My name is Frau Connie Manwaring. I am a native German and I have lived in the United States for the past fifteen years. I grew up and received most of my education in Germany. While studying music in Weimar I specialized in choral conducting and piano performance. After I received my undergraduate degree in Germany and completed my State Examination (Staatsexamen) I lived for 18 months in England. I then decided to pursue a graduate degree at BYU in MusicMedicine. In 1998, I married my husband Adam. One year later our first daughter AnnaMarie was born and I received my MA in Music. For many years I have been teaching piano in my own private studio. In addition I taught German at Meridian School and worked as a translator for Multiling. I enjoy teaching very much and am very excited to continue teaching German at UVU. I now live in Mapleton with my husband and my two beautiful girls. Our family enjoys camping, the outdoors, and swimming. I am especially fond of gardening, books, music, sewing & needlework.
